Better sleep last night, although probably not as much as I needed. This house is so much warmer at night than last summer, even with the swamp cooler on at full blast 24/7. Still, I did sleep deeply, if not for a full 8. Will try again tonight.
Run this morning was awfully good. Not great, but I think I'm still feeling out a good pace for me. Hard to believe I'm just at 11:45 or so, but I'll get my groove back.
I don't like these shoes. For whatever reason the right shoe pinches my forefoot; the area just under my right toe is always a little tender now. I try to loosen the shoelaces, but it doesn't help. If it gets too bad, I'll just bite the bullet and go back to my beloved New Balances, even though this pair still has about 3 months of wear on it left.
Nutrition-wise, I'm still tweaking. I think I might try consuming more fish and red meat. With my colitis still not in remission, I'm concerned about iron stores, even with the daily multivitamin.
Breakfast: homemade whole-grain blueberry muffin, half-glass organic chocolate milk.
Monday:
Lunch: PB&J on whole wheat toast, bowl of cherries.
Snack: cup of green tea, chocolate biscotti (Traders); 10-12 unsalted crackers w/ cheese.
Dinner: pasta, tomato sauce w/ TVP.
